How it works

Before you attempt to upload your Theme you must unzip the downloaded folder. Why? The extra files it contains can cause strange issues to occur in your theme’s functionality. Only upload the inner zip folder and only install your theme through the WordPress admin installer located under

Appearance > Themes > Install.

If this way to install the theme fails, we recommend to use FTP.

Open your FTP client and move to your WordPress installation path. Drag&Drop the “theme-name” folder into the following path:

  • wp-content/themes/

Now go to your Dashboard -> Appearance -> Theme and activate the theme.

If your theme refuses to finish installing – make sure you are only trying to upload the inner zipped folder – the one inside the folder downloaded from Theme Forest. Some servers won’t allow the installation to complete. In most cases this has something to do with a memory or upload limitation, which has been set by your provider. In this case we recommend to upload the theme via FTP. Learn more about a manual installation here:

If the theme seems to upload fine but WordPress gives you and error message that the style sheet is missing. You have tried to upload the entire original file downloaded at Theme Forest. There is nothing wrong with the theme files, you simply need to upload only the inner zipped folder as describe in “After Download” above.

Unless you have already told WordPress what page your posts will appear on in your website, you need to do so or you will be wondering why they are not showing up.

  1. Create a page named Blog … or whatever you want to call your blog.
  2. Go to: Settings at the bottom of the left sidebar.
  3. Select: Reading
  4. In the top section where you set your static page to Home there is a second box below it for posts. Find the page you created for your Blog and select it as the page for posts.

This is a very basic WordPress function. While editing your page or post just have a look at the upper right corner. You’ll recognize a button named “Screen Options”. By clicking this button a new layer will appear giving a few options you can choose from. In this case please activate the “Discussion” box. Close the “Screen Option” layer and have a look beneath your editor, you are now able to disable the comment function.

Since all data is stored inside the WordPress Database you do not have to worry about a loss of data. If you haven’t touched the source code you can just overwrite the existing files with the new files. Afterwards go to “Theme Options” -> “Manage Presets” (black button upper right corner) and hit “Reload XML”

After releasing a new update you will be notified by a message which pops up on the “Theme Info” page inside the backend. If this happens, just go to your Themeforest Account -> Downloads and re-download the theme package. This package will always hold the newest version of our theme. After unzipping the package you can start putting the new files onto your server.

But please note, its always wise to have a backup before updating a theme.
